Medhat Sorial  - Over 19 years of experience in Software Development.
Medhat started his career as a Software Engineer in 1990 and built Banking systems for the "Agricultural Bank of Egypt", one of the largest Banks in EGYPT.
Medhat then moved to New York in 1993 and joined Merrlin Financial, Inc. (Currently, The Macgregor Group, Division of ITG) and built advanced Trading and Portfolio Modeling systems for a large set of Buy Side Corporations, like "Janus Funds", "Oppenheimer Funds", and "Scudder Investments".
Medhat then moved to work at a couple of large Financial institutions and finally to Bank of America where he spent the past 9 years building and managing advanced Trading, Risk Management, Clearing and Settlement Systems for Banc of America Securities.
During the past year , Medhat build a number of Web Sites and e-Commerce solutions for a number of local Connecticut Small Businesses. - Built and supported large scale enterprise-level systems.
During his career, Medhat got to Design and Implement a number of large scale enterprise-level systems. This includes but not limited to, Order Management Systems, Order Routing Systems, Trading Analytic Systems, Risk Management Systems, Profit and Loss Systems, Trade Settlement Systems, and Accounting Systems. - Expertise go beyond Technology.
As a Technology Solution Provider, Medhat worked closely with the business users and acquired a substantial amount of business knowledge and Securities Industry expertise. Medhat has passed his NASD Series 7, Series 63 and Series 55 Registration Exams. - Strong Leadership Skills.
Medhat spend the past few years playing the role of a Senior Technology Manager at Bank of America. His role included managing large size teams and driving Technology Strategy for the business. This included leading and driving large size initiatives and ensuring projects are completed according to requirements, on time, and on budget. - Passion for Software Development.
Even as Senior Technology Manager, Medhat kept his passion for Software Development. He continued to be on top of the latest technologies and stayed Hands-on. He believes that "If you can't do it, you can't manage it".
